Come join us on September 10th and 11th in Flagstaff, Arizona on the campus of Northern Arizona University for the 2009 Southwest Renewable Energy Conference –Integrating State and Federal Policy with Technology to bring Renewables to the Grid.
Renewable energy has gained significant momentum in the U.S. this past year with the extension of investment tax credits and new stimulus funding, implementation of state renewable energy standards, growing interest from the electric utilities and growing demand from a public that is increasingly looking for cleaner energy and greener jobs. There has never been a better time to be part of the exciting and expanding world of renewable energy.
This year’s conference promises to be important. Congress is poised to take action on energy policy that could impact state renewable energy efforts including transmission infrastructure and carbon emission legislation. This diverse gathering of public policy and elected officials, technical and economic experts, and industry leaders ensures a range of viewpoints in, and strategic discussions about, how to bring more renewable energy to the grid.
The 2009 Southwest Renewable Energy Conference is a forum for sharing developments in technology and policy. SWREC fosters thoughtful evaluation and discussions on the development of wind, solar, biomass and geothermal energy on tribal, federal, state and private lands. A diverse range of pre and post conference sessions and two concurrent tracks of panel sessions-Policy and Technical-offer participants options to fit their own background, experience and professional development interests. Receptions and events provide opportunities to network and share ideas with leaders in industry, research and government. We believe this conference, and gatherings like it, are critical to a stable and successful renewable energy future, and we encourage you to join us.
